My last report. I figure I've done about 3,500 of these things. That's enough. @johnmoe takes over Monday, May 3 and will be tweeting from @FutureTenseAPM
Part two of our presentation from the earliest days of Future Tense ...
Today on Future Tense I aired some embarrassing clips of the first week or two of the program, which debuted in March 1996. This version contains extra treats that don't appear in the terrestrial radio version.
Today's Future Tense focused on Chatroulettemap.com, a mashup that shows pictures and locations of Chatroulette user sessions. After noticing the map was not updating, my hoax detector flickered every so faintly. So I contacted this morning's guest, Dwight Silverman, and asked him one more question.
I love this video.
Julio Ojeda-Zapata is hanging out in the Future Tense World Headquarters in Alameda, CA, writing up some smashing tech piece for the Pioneer Press. He's having to make do with the disheveled, half-painted bedroom of the absent college student as his office and sleeping quarters. He'll be making a geek pilgrimage to Google, Apple, Computer History Museum, etc...but seems most excited at the prospect of eating at Inn & Out Burger.
